1. WHAT DAYS AND TIMES ARE AVAILABLE FOR WEDDINGS?
All wedding receptions are based on a five hour rental with the following hours available:
FRIDAYS: Evening weddings may begin anytime after 6:00 pm, up to the latest arrival of 7:30 pm
SATURDAYS: Afternoon weddings will be required to end by 5:00 pm Evening weddings begin anytime after 6:00 pm, up to the latest arrival of 7:30 pm
SUNDAY: Anytime after 12:00 noon, up to the latest arrival of 3:00 pm Sunday receptions are required to end by 8:00 pm
The Neighborhood Club may be obtained for an extra hour for an additional charge; however this is at the discretion of the manager on duty and should be requested no later than one hour prior to the end of your scheduled function.
2. HOW DO I RESERVE THE NEIGHBORHOOD CLUB FOR MY WEDDING?
Call 617-773-9300 and set up an appointment or use the contact form on this site to submit a request for an appointment. Appointment times are available for days, evenings and weekends. After the decision to use the Neighborhood Club to host your wedding has been made, an initial deposit and a contract agreement are required to reserve the Club.
3. IS THERE A MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM NUMBER OF GUESTS FOR THE BALLROOM?
There is a minimum of 125 guests and maximum of 195 guests for the ballroom. Theses numbers are based on 10 people per table.
4. WHEN DO I HAVE TO DECIDE ON A MENU?
Menu selections are required 5 weeks prior to the reception. The function coordinator will contact you 6 weeks prior to the wedding to set up an appointment.
5. DO I HAVE TO HAVE A FORMAL SIT-DOWN MEAL FOR MY RECEPTION?
The Neighborhood Club realizes that not all brides have the same ideas and tastes when it comes to planning a menu for their reception. A Wedding Cocktail Reception is available. This menu is just as elegant, but not as basic as a traditional dinner. Click the 'Cocktail Reception' menu from the top menu for a sample menu for such an event. It will accommodate a minimum of 125 persons with a maximum of 195.
6. DO YOU HAVE PRE-PLANNED WEDDING PACKAGES?
Because choice of flowers, music and photography is generally a matter of personal taste, the Neighborhood Club does not ask you to purchase a pre-planned package.

8. CAN I HAVE MY WEDDING CEREMONY AT THE NEIGHBORHOOD CLUB?
Yes. The Neighborhood Club's fireplaced living room is the perfect setting for an intimate, yet elegant wedding. Click here for a sample scenario of how your wedding ceremony in front of the fireplace might proceed.
9. HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL THE FIREPLACED LIVING ROOM HOLD FOR MY CEREMONY?
The living room will seat about 60 guests comfortably. The remaining guests may stand in the back of the room.
10. WHY SHOULD I HAVE MY WEDDING RECEPTION AT THE NEIGHBORHOOD CLUB OF QUINCY?
We realize just how special your wedding is to you. The Neighborhood Club has been planning and hosting weddings and other social events since 1917 and we are experts at it. Your reception will be handled in a most professional and courteous manner.

12. WHAT OTHER EVENTS CAN I HOST AT THE NEIGHBORHOOD CLUB?
The Neighborhood Club has been helping people host their social events since 1917. It is an appropriate place to consider for a Banquet, Christening, Wine Tasting, Retirement Party, Fund Raising Event, Awards Ceremony, Class or Family Reunion, High Tea, Birthday Party, Fashion Show, Dinner Theater, Bridge Luncheon, Rehearsal Dinner, Bridal or Baby Shower or Post Funeral Gathering.
13. WHAT ROOMS DO YOU HAVE AVAILABLE FOR WEDDINGS, PARTIES, MEETING AND OTHER FUNCTIONS?
The Sears Room holds a total of 26 (long table) - 34 (tables of 4) people. Good size for board or business , smaller dinner parties.
The Living Room is an intimate, elegant setting complete with fireplace and oriental rugs, for a cocktail party, wedding ceremony, party and more.
The President's Room is complete with a newly installed dance floor and seats a total of 110 people.
The spacious Ballroom is elegant and has a hardwood floor allowing the dance floor to be located according to the needs of the particular event. It's also has a stage perfect for a fund raiser, fashion show, dinner theater etc. or it can be used by the DJ or band.
14. DO YOU HAVE A PRE-PLANNED BANQUET/PARTY PACKAGES?
No, The Neighborhood Club knows how important and special your event is to you. Everyone's tastes are different so we don't have any pre-planned packages. Our function manager will work with you to plan an event that is truly yours.
15. DO I HAVE TO HAVE A SIT DOWN DINNER AT MY FUNCTION?
We work with you to plan your choice of menu. Click the links at the top of the page to see sample menus.
16. IS PARKING AVAILABLE FOR MY GUESTS?
There is ample parking in our adjacent parking lot. Function parking is allowed in any space not specifically designated as a member space.
17. IS THERE A STAGE FOR THE BAND, PERFORMANCE, FASHION SHOW ETC.?
The elegant and spacious Ballroom has a stage perfect for a fund raiser, comedy show, fashion show, dinner theater etc. or it can be used by the DJ, band or entertainment.
18. CAN I HOLD MY BUSINESS AT THE NEIGHBORHOOD CLUB?
Because the Neighborhood Club realizes just how important your quiet and privacy is during meeting, it will be handled in a most professional and courteous way. The Neighborhood Club's experienced wait staff will provide the service you need while keeping distractions at a minimum.

20. DOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD CLUB HAVE A LIST OF RESOURCES FOR MY EVENT PLANNING?
Some of the services that have been used for functions at the Neighborhood Club have been listed in our Resources section as a guide. We do not receive any compensation for these suggestions and all transactions are between you and the parties you decide to work with.
The Neighborhood Club will make appropriate arrangements with these types of services for an additional, nominal charge.
21. IS THERE A PLACE FOR WEDDING PHOTOS?
You are welcome to take your wedding photos in the foyer area of the Neighborhood Club. The elegant Fireplaced Living Room is also a beautiful backdrop for your photos as well. There are also places outside on the grounds that are an appropriate setting.
22. IS THE NEIGHBORHOOD CLUB DECORATED FOR CHRISTMAS?
During the Winter Holidays the Neighborhood Club is beautifully decorated. Our elegant and festive holiday decorations add an extra special air of magic to your special event. The Club is decorated from the Monday after Thanksgiving through the New Year.
23. HOW MUCH EXPERIENCE DOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD CLUB HAVE IN PLANNING THESE SPECIAL OCCASIONS?
The Neighborhood Club has over 90 years of experieince - our function planners have helped create warm and wonderful memories for those who have chosen to trust the Neighborhood Club to make their special times memorable.
24. HOW LARGE IS THE DANCE FLOOR?
The spacious Ballroom is elegant and has a hardwood floor allowing the dance floor to be located according to the needs of the particular event. The President's Room besides seating 100 people also includes a dance floor.

Since we value your ability to choose these types of items and not ask you to choose a pre-planned package, please check out our list of preferred vendors.
